Ingredients
10 green apples (granny smith and golden delicious)
⅛ cup water
⅛ cup lemon juice
1 ½ cups brown sugar (2 TBS white sugar, ½ cup brown sugar and ½ cup coconut sugar)
2 cups oats
1 ½ cups flour (½ cup oat flour and ¾ cup wheat flour and ¼ cup flax)
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1 ½ cups butter (1 stick butter and ½ cup coconut oil)

Peel and thinly slice apples and place in a large bowl and pour lemon juice and water over them. Sprinkle with 2 Tablespoons sugar, stir and place into a 9×13 glass pan. (I used a 10 inch round deep dish pan and a 5×8 loaf pan because I was making this for two parties.IMG_0115 Mix flour, remaining sugar, oats and cinnamon in a medium bowl. IMG_0116Cut in butter (and coconut oil) until mixture is crumbly. IMG_0121Sprinkle over apples. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour. IMG_0118This is delicious served with vanilla ice cream.
