Canvas Crafting

What better way to brighten your day then a craft that encourages, inspires, and energizes you.  The one great thing about canvases… You can do whatever you want! Whether it is paint, glue, draw, sketch, the options are endless. Not only do canvases let you create and dream, they give you a masterpiece.  So as we draw, dream, design, we are moving to an end goal of what we want the end to be.  And the canvas is our drawing board to be inspired and inspire others.

One way I use a canvas to inspire others is painting a verse or quote on the canvas and giving it as a gift. Whatever the verse, you can glue on accessories to go along with it. I recently made this for my husband to put up in our room. I found the verse, printed out a picture, and created a gift.

He was very surprised and loved it. A little bit of though can go a long way. I added a picture, some fabric, and buttons for some texture and extra zing on my canvas.

This next one is a gift my friend gave me. I put it up in my bathroom of my new house. Every time I look at it it reminds me to trust in God, and reminds me of my friend. It is a fun way to bless people and make personal gifts.

Best part… It’s not too difficult. All you need is a canvas, acrylic paint, stamps or stencils, any accessories you want, and a spray finish. (Spray finish works better than paint finish so it doesn’t smudge the paint) (Use a spray varnish acrylic finish- found at your local craft store. )

Next step: PAINT A MASTERPIECE! And remember, we all have a little artist in us. We don’t have to be Michelangelo or Van Gogh to be an artist. So paint away!

What have you created lately that you could give away to bless someone else?
